Note : The candidates MUST pass in each of the above Objective tests. The passing marks in each test will be decided by NABARD on the basis of the performance of all the candidates appearing in the tests.

Candidate may accordingly allocate their time to each test within total time of 60 minutes for all the three tests put together.

Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests.

How is NABARD Development Assistant Cutoff Obtained ?

(i) Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score after applying penalty for wrong answers.

(ii) The Corrected Scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores* *Scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms.

(iii) Testwise scores and scores on total is reported with decimal points upto two digits. Note : Cutoffs may be applied in two stages : (a) On scores in individual tests (b) On Total Score

Mains Examination 

(150 Questions + Descriptive, 25% Negative Marking, Composite time of 90 minutes for Objective Tests and 30 minutes for Descriptive Test )
  • Reasoning(30 questions, 30 marks)
  • Quantitative Aptitude(30 questions, 30 marks)
  • General Awareness with special reference to agriculture, rural development and banking (50 questions, 50 marks)
  • Computer Knowledge(40 questions, 40 marks)
  • English Language Descriptive (Essay, Precis, Report / Letter Writing, 50 marks, 30 Minutes)

Preliminary Examination

(100 Questions, 100 Marks, 25% Negative Marking, 1 Hour )

  • English Language(40 questions, 40 marks)
  • Quantitative Aptitude(30 questions, 30 marks)
  • Reasoning(30 questions, 30 marks)

NABARD Development Assistant Job Profile

NABARD is the head of the body controlling credit for agriculture and rural growth. It has its offices spread all over India. The starting salary of a NABARD Development Assistant is Rs 21, 000 approx. Apart from salary, they are eligible for house rent , dearness and other allowances.

NABARD’s main focus is to uplift rural India by increasing the credit flow for elevation of agriculture & rural non farm sector. As a NABARD Development Assistant, you will handle a variety of tasks related to institutional and individual giving.

Some of the basic responsibilities assigned to NABARD Development Assistants are:

  • Managing relationships with current and prospective donors of the bank organisation.
  • Dealing with policy issues of various programmes of Central/State Govt. and projects relating to Agriculture as well as Rural Development.
  • Bolstering membership and researching ways to bring in additional funds.
  • Updating donor databases, responding to member queries and sometimes approaching benefactors for appeals.
