Top 5 Preparation Tips
They say practice makes a man perfect. The more you practice, the better it will prove in the exam. Practicing topics frequently will make sure that you are acquainted with them and they don’t come across as new while attempting in the exam. Daily practice will help you immensely in the Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability Section, both of which are very important. Practice is an important requisite for IBPS Clerk Study Plan.
Reading newspapers daily or following the news is extremely important. This will help you in scoring well in the general awareness section. Make sure to read one newspaper especially for news related with banking and economy . In case you are unable to score well in quantitative aptitude section, the general awareness section will come to your rescue.
Every bank in India has now been digitalized and so this section has become extremely important. SBI doesn’t expect an aspirant to be a computer genius. All they require is to recruit people having the basic proficiency with computers. Purchase any book providing this basic knowledge, read it well, understand the concepts and you are all set for the exam.
I see a lot of aspirants wasting precious time in enrolling themselves with coaching institutions. I mean its ok but what is most important is the ‘test’ part. No preparation can be deemed complete unless one is tested. Mock tests are extremely important. They not only prepare you to get a good grasp of time but also make you aware of your preparation. Besides attempting mock tests, solving previous ten years question papers is important. Don’t do it because you feel that a question will be repeated. A question will never be repeated. However the ‘type’ of question will be repeated. Attempting questions in the exam should not make you feel as if it’s your first time. You should be acquainted with the type of questions asked. Solving previous year’s papers helps you do it.
Time management is an integral part of this exam. In the prelims, attempt Quantitative Aptitude first because it is the most scoring section. Attempt English last. In the Mains attempt the General Awareness and Computer Knowledge sections first and again, English last. Make sure that you do not divide time equally for all sections. Invest more time in your stronger section and don’t get stuck on a question that you will not attempt finally.
Lastly, prepare well because you ‘want’ to do it and not because you ‘have’ to do it. It will make all the difference. IBPS Clerk study plan is all about managing time.
